Episode 1 of the PAAL Podcast is LIVE | PAAL

Earlier this week, we posted a teaser on our Instagram, just getting started, of what we were recording. SURPRISE!

It’s the PAAL Podcast, a podcast dedicated to parents and caregivers in the performing arts – all-parent, all-discipline, all stage and place in career.

Episode 1, “I WILL HOLD YOUR BABY,” launches with our first interview: Lydia Milman Schmidt, Chicago director, mom, PICT founder and PAAL Chief Rep in Chicago.

In this episode, PAAL founder Rachel Spencer Hewitt talks to Lydia about her experience as a mom of three – including twins – her experience working as a director, research surveys on parent artists, and the revolutionary audition casting notice she posted for her upcoming show at Erasing the Distance (show details below). Lydia is also leading this year’s PAAL Forum. PAAL’s 2018-2019 year theme is Initiatives and Solutions, and she lists the amazing panelists that will be present this year. RSVP (FREE! Kids Welcome) Here.

Future episodes will include more extraordinary interviews, humor, essays on the parent artist experience, and more! Stay tuned, submit your story to be featured, and let us know what you want to hear about!
